Hey all, basically I'm having one or two problems with EAC. I used the Coaster Factory quickstart guide to setup everything, ripping is quick and fine, except for one problem; it seems the "Genre" field isn't being written, resulting in Genre being blank for every track. However, every other tag is there in full, Title, Track #, Year etc. Can anyone help me out?

double check under EAC \ Compression Options on the "External Compression" tab. i don't know what you are using for compression but i use flac and on the "Additional command line options:" is where you define your tag info (for flac at least). make sure "genre" is in there. i copied the command line from Coaster Factory and it works perfectly.

In my case, I find the genre is the one tag I usually change afterwards anyway.

Some bands are given different genres for every album they've done.
