Hi, guys, I borrowed a pair of E5C from friend and suddenly all my gears become noise-producing machine. I plug it into iPod 4th gen, of course there is noise, I used to hear it from my 4P but not serious. I thought I was imagining it. But now apparently not...
Now it's my 0404 and Corda HA-2, there is HUGE noise, worse than iPod. and when I turn the volumn all the way up, gee, I was overwhelmed by noise. Now everything seems carry a lot noise now. E5C makes me feel hopeless.
Is this happening on all the E5C owners or I just happen to borrowed a defective E5C?
If you don't hear any noise (in the absolute quiet environment), please let me know and also let me know your config.

Thanks a lot!!!

Sounds like an impedence mismatch. The amp probably has too much gain for that impedence load. My e2c is downright hissy with some of my amps, but silent with my govibe.

aha! you guys are exactly right, I changed to another 120ohm jack, and noise is gone, totally gone, now it's dead silent again!

Now I love E5C again, but not when matching with iPod.
