Anyone cut off/remove the clear tube around the 2 wires? They don't do much for the way I use/wear them and they get dirty fast...

I just got mine and found using them behind the ears with the clear tube pushed up partway very comfy

Is the tube the same in the E2C? If so, I've found that using the tube helped it stay on easier

I have a pair and I have Seriously thought about cutting it off, but when I were the cord behing my neck (lawn mowing) it is handy. And when I pack them up I slipe it up close to the buds and it minimizes tangle

Ditto. Pushing up clear tube is very helpful to make some tension that keeps cords securely behind ears, especially when working out at the gym.
