I can definitely say there is a break-in period with these headphones. The details in my music that Im hearing now is like listening all over again. I have the eq on my x5 set perfectly(for me) for any type of music. From Manson, to techno, to Tori Amos, to Madeski Martin and Wood, I hear such a distinct soundstage that I can litteraly with my eyes closed point to each instrument. The bass is nothing but extraordinary and tight, especially on the new Black Eyed Peas cd.
The only thing I dont like still is that they slide out of my ear easily with the grey softies. These are the same softies I used on my E3's for over a year and never had this experience.
To those who are wondering if its worth stepping up from the E3's. YES, most definitely worth the upgrade. I was in extreme debate with myself considering the E3's are good. The E4's are that much better.
