E3G IS NOT E3C!!!

E3, E3c and E3g all use the same acoustic system. No changes whatsoever. The reviewers experience might be due to his further understanding of proper use. One can only guess.

It's all a bit confusing.

According to info on the Shure website, the different models are as follows:

E2c
E2c (in black)
E2g

E3c
E3c (in black)
E3g

E4c
E4c (in black)
E4g

E5c

E500 (upcoming)

As far as I know, the Exc (in black) and Exg series differ from their Exc cousins only in cable length: longer cable in Exc

Apart from that, it's all purely marketing.

Yeah, I would take Designtechnica's review with a grain of salt.

A baseball sized grain of salt.

Don't forget E2 PRO / E3 PRO / E4 PRO (AKA E2, E3, E4). These are the grey editions. That makes 4 models, heh.

And one of the problems with subjective impressions is laid bare.

Thanks..
What's the difference in the cord length?
(The E3c is 1.5m)
