Not thrilled. How can I describe it? Purely subjective and we all know everyone hears a little different. No Air. Music is just not enjoyable. Looking for something for plane travel so in-the-ear seemed like a nice solution. Only listenable with the medium size plastic things. with the foam no bass at all. Not sure where to go with this. A little scared about the microphonics on the Etys. I do want to mess with them occasionally while working out. I wonder how much better the E3C's are..

What other headphones have you listened to that you can compare the E2c's with?

are you getting a decent seal? Most ppl have better luck with the foamies, you say they sounded worse? Try moistening the foamies before sticking them in....

Try rubbing two fingers together right next to your ear - if you can hear the sound that makes, the seal isn't right...

I've owned E2's and SR60's. Trust me, their both great phones in their respective realms, but a E2 will never approach the sound of a SR60. The E2 offers decent sound with superior isolation at that price point....that's pretty much it.

My E3's are more than a match for the SR60's (and probably a lot of other high end phones I've never tried).

You're not getting bass with the foamies? For me the bass was always very impressive on the E2's with the small foamies. I suspect your seal is not correct.........

most probably you are not getting a good seal. the high aren't fantastic, but its 'doable'. canalphones are very subjective things. one person's meat may be another's poison.

oh well i like mine,

If you don't like them, sell them in the traders forum, ppl can buy replacement tips and you'll not have wasted your cash!

I can't say I would agree with Austonia...they're not that bad. If you can only spend $80-90 and you NEED isolation and portability...these are your phones.

They're a headphone that fills a special niche for people who need them.

I would never have sold mine if the E3 had not come out. The E3's are significantly better...but cost twice as much. I've really had a tough time determining which is the "better deal". It comes down to your personal economics.

OR.. you could spend $45 and get Sony EX71's which IMO sound better, fit easier, and don't look as funky as the E2c's....
