The housing of my E2c's have a couple cracks in them and I was wondering if this was normal or not. Because if its not then i can send them back under warranty...
I have the Shure E2C. I have had it for about four months. I do not have any cracks in the cord or the shell of the canalphones themselves. I have never herd of anyone having cracks in the E2C. (they are tough little guys) I belive that you should get in contact with the customer support division of Shure Inc and investigate the posibility of a warrantied replacement.
Just out of curiosity, how large are the cracks in the housing? Has the sonic signiture of them changed at all since the cracks have apeared. Oh yeah, and how did you manage to crack the E2C, its the toughest canalphone I now.
I dunno I don't abuse them but only the half black one is cracked. I havent dropped them, sat on them, or whacked them agaisnt anything, so I don't know whats going on. I'll contact Shure...
