I have an E17 on the way, as a DAC/Amp combo, it comes highly praised.  I am looking ahead to my next set of cans. I'm pretty set on the D2000.  I currently own a set of HD598, which I am absolutely thrilled with.  My aim is for those to be retired for strictly gaming/movies, and use the D2000 for Music.
 
Will the E17 be plenty to drive the D2000?

Consider my equipment. I enjoy the D7000 off the E7 quite immensely, I don't see how the E17 could do any worse.
