E17 specs says it supports 300ohms, E17K say it supports up to 150 ohm. what does this mean?

Could somebody perhaps explain the technical difference to me?

Do those two units have a different amp in some way? Does it mean that the E17 has a greater voltage swing and current abilities when powering headphones?

Does this spec mean that the E17 could be able to drive headphones like the HD600s while the E17K cannot?

Maybe reading up on this thread will help answer your question?

If your using the HD600, you might consider spending more then you would for the E17/E17K to drive them.

well I do have a desktop amp, but I need a very portable one too. And I am looking for a budget solution renegades if there is a 1K portable amp available that would be amazing for my HD800s. I simply want to stay low budget and get the best for around this amount.

What portable source would the E17/E17K (or other DAC/amp) be connected to?
