A few minutes ago my 1212m just stopped playing wav sounds. I know it's only the Wav stream because when I play using ASIO, the bars move and sound is produced by the speakers. When playing wav streams (windows audio kernel or computer games, for example), the bars don't move at all. I've tried restoring the patchmix program to defaults but it did nothing. Any clues?

Reinstall the drivers.

Ive had this happen before. A reboot cured it. I leave my computer on for weeks and months at a time, and this does happen to me every so often.
