what about 0404 measured on 1212m and vice versa?

Those graphs look very very similar. Different enough to justify a $100 price difference? I don't know about that. I wonder what advantage the 1212m has over the 0404, aside from the very slight differences seen in these graphs.

If everything went by the graphs, I think most sources would sound the same. In fact, I almost halfway believe that

In any case, do you think you can hear the difference between -106db and -108db IMD or something like that? Fat chance. I can barely tell the difference between +70db and +72db when they're specifically played on a single frequency one after another. If you believe there are differences between sources, the numbers definitely aren't where they show up.

That said, the 0404 looks great, numberwise. Now if only lan or someone else had a 1212m to compare with
