Hi Dynaudio enthusiasts,

I ordered the DBM50's on Black Friday for $420/each (they're still at that price on Amazon) and just received them today:

http://www.amazon.com/Dynaudio-DBM50/dp/B008COELY2/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1345100118&sr=1-1&keywords=DBM50

They sound glorious through my setup!  So revealing:

MacBook Pro > Emagic 26 > unbalanced rcas > DBM50s

I've been researching DACs for a while and the Audiolab MDAC is the leading contender at the moment.  I like that the MDAC can also conveniently drive my Grado MS-2 (impedance: 32 Ohms).  & it's filter options and connectivity flexibility are appealing.

Other DACs i've considered are:

  1. Wadia 121
  2. W4S DAC-1
  3. Schiit Gungnir
  4. Rega
  5. Benchmark DAC1 & 2
  6. Audio GD
  7. Yulong

I'm wondering if Dynaudio enthusiasts have any opinions to share about DACs in the $1000 range that have worked well with your Dyandio monitors?  I will be looking for the balanced XLR connection and headphone out is preferable.

Many thanks in advance for your help.
