What is the difference between the 2? I only came across the 2 when looking for amps...

This question belongs in the amps forum, if you're only interested because you're looking for amps.
Regarding amps, if you needed an electrostatic amp you'd know it. Thus, if you bought one, it would be worthless for you.
The difference is that dynamic headphones are called dynamic because they have a dynamic moving-coil theory of operation. Electrostatic headphones have an electrostatic theory of operation. They're entirely different methods, and 'stats require a high voltage amplifier (or step-up transformers) that would reduce a dynamic headphone to a smoking, molten hulk.

701's are dynamic, open backed cans.

Altough I like a sound of dynamic headphone but I want to have one electros headphone in my system.
