I had the Shanling M7 and Cayin N7, and compared the DX260 with both of them. To my ears, the DX260 was miles ahead in performance. Sure N7 had a slightly more organic midrange, but was no match in technicalities.
Interesting. I have the N7 and DX260. Both are great in their own way but definitely wouldn’t say the DX260 is miles away…

Dynamics, transparency, resolution, treble details and extension, stage depth - DX260 fair better than N7. N7 had more organic midrange but that's it.

I found DX260 has a larger stage, more width, depth, and height, with a darker background and more spacious presentation.

Oh this is great. Iam torn between dx 260, shanling m7 and dc elite. With elite maybe top but is inconsistent like top sound goes from pc, notebook or with big battery etc. With this isues i go for 260 at the moment is favorite.

DX260 definitely wins in this area.
I like DX260 natural organic mids more so than M7 personally.
Both are good just down to your own preference.

They wrote about warming up the player here. How to do it correctly? At what volume level? Over what period? iBasso ignored my question
You need at least 10 hours burning in after that the treble harness is gone.

At what volume?
For me, I don't really use the burn in cable provided.
I just listen at normal listening levels & notice the change after 10 hours.

I mostly listen at my desk and I'm getting kind of tired messing with dongles. I've been thinking of grabbing a DAP and the DX260 is the one I've been looking at the most. Besides the convenience, would the sound quality be much of a step up from a phone with a Onix Alpha?
