Does anyone know where i can get the latest dx240 firmware from? The online updater does not work and any link on the ibasso website just takes me to the landing page.....

Download the file and unzip it. There will be the firmware, directions on updating (you place the firmware directly on the card) and the change log. Then go to the updater and up in the right corner are 3 dots and you touch that to go to local update.

Download the above file to your download folder on your ibasso. Move it to the root internal drive using the files app. Go to settings, system, software updater. 3 dots top right, local install, choose the file under internal and voila. I did not need to unzip it.....

For those doing updates. I think it's better to factory reset your device before the update and again after for a nice clean install. I have found in the past that the same FW may have a subtle sonic difference from one install to the next. If you do a FW upgrade and for some reason think it may not be as delineated etc. do it again and see if it helps. Yes, I'm aware that there is no good technical reason for this to be so I will not argue nor defend the point.

Did the gain change a little in the latest one? It could be my imagination as I'm not a daily user but I think I'm using more clicks than before.

Extremely good so far. Sounds like a desktop amp with excellent bass control and very nice mids.
