Had a go again with my amp8 card. I've reied everything and it just won't slot in. Even my wife has had a go. I've tried it parrallel at an angle and even tried to jiggle it to see if it sits in. Nothing doing

It took a while for me to get the method also

I am not sure what it was catching on

I did slide it in at an angle (this way and that way. Maybe the 4.4mm corner. I forget.


Another one. I was very excited to buy another (used) amp8EX again to try with the Dx240.
Try as i might i couldnt get it in. It ended up that a screw had fallen off one of the other amps. (Or something) and was blocking the inside).

So have a look inside also for any obstruction.

A couple of shots

I took out the amp8EX and just slotted the amp8 board in. (With no cover cos extra work).



I could be a question of whether the large Orange cap is flush.

From earlier days of jimmying it back and forth. It seems to slip in easier now. Either straight in, or angled left or right.

See this photo. I think this part could be important.

In the red circle is a groove the amp module has to follow. Unfortunately this starts halfway in. So if you dont find it it can get jammed and not go in.


- again. Check a screw or anything hasnt gone loose and is obstructing inside. Check amp1mk3 for any loose screws. Etc



Finally amp8EX goes back in.
I left a little clearance for illustration. Just needs a gentle last prod.

Yes, email Paul, not pm. Just a little while back i sent paul email inquiring about getting a new battery for my 220. He got back to me quickly with how to order. Got the battery quickly too. Inside of 2 weeks to the states if memory serves.

Anyone know how to setup USB Audio Player Pro? I play 24/96 track but it show 48kHz at the top of the screen. While in app it show Direct 96kHz.

So after some fiddling (not nice) i managed to shove an amp8 into dx240.
The sizzle is too much indeed and that is money gone to waste as I would have never bought the dap sounding like this.

Im just burning it in, very revealing kinda amp, on some tracks, like Sade Hang on to Your Love or Sweetest taboo, there is a constant distracting old school japanese style say Pioneer/Marantz treble thats really in your face, nothing subtle there.
Bass and stage are top notch though.
Tbh, an hour in i think something is changing fir the better, lets see
