Did anybody read the DVHS DTheater article in Widescreen Review? I thought it was quite interesting when they compared it to a D-5 studio master of the movie U-571. For those of you who haven't heard of DVHS DTheater, it's a digital tape format which was created by JVC. There is only one machine currently that can play this format - the JVC D-VHS HM3000U. From the article it looks like the data rate is of 28.2 Mbps and it uses MPEG-2 compression. In the article they say that DVHS is even better looking than DVD.

I'd like to see a demonstration.
