I have always used DVD players as my source, because I have a large collection of live concert DVD that I listen too. I don't really watch them, just hit play and listen to the audio. I stream the data via either toslink or coax to my dac. The current players have USB ports. Can these types host an external hard drive and play music from that? Are there any that will play ALAC (apple lossles)?
