SO i was trying to finish my PPA today and I ran into a really dumb problem that got me stuck. I got some cardas female RCAs for the back of the PPA and i found out that I couldn't solder wires to it. The chrome like finish seemed to keep the solder from sticking. I tried a little sand paper to rough the surface up some, but that didn't seem to help. Any thoughts?? Maybe I need to turn up the temperature on my soldering iron?

Make sure to hold the wire still before the solder Solidifies.

The solder WILL stick, but since the surface you are soldering to is so large (I assumer we're talking about the GRFA or similar jacks) they "wick" the heat away from the point you are trying to solder before it's hot enough to bond. Just crank your soldering iron's heat up nice and high, and let it sit there for a while.
