I think Subswara plays a monthly live show in the city.

Unfortunately I dont go out anymore, but I did do a rare outing with friends a couple of months back to see Skream live. It was great.

Ive never heard anything by Mary but I literally just bought "Evangeline".

Thanks for the suggestions mentioned, I will check 'em out. My only experience with dubstep is Burial who is a dj in LDN. Dark and moody with that dubstep swagger. Or maybe the genre is 2 step, I really don't know the correct definition. Buts sounds good to me!

If youve just started, a MUST OWN is Benga's Diary of an Afro-Warrior.
Its excellent.
From there, move on to Skream...

Kwitel, Mary Anne Hobbs is (mostly) a DJ, she has a show on BBC Radio 1. She's played some really great stuff over the years. Linkage to her page with listen again to last show facility:

I don't feel that the albums with Mary Anne Hobbs' name on them does her mixes justice - her sets are much more versatile than 'her' CDs.

OT - Hunt for the single 'Dubversion/Mortal Bass' by Broken Note. Now THAT is some punishing dubstep.

Everything that I've heard that is classified as dubstep I've liked, but I haven't heard a whole lot.

I honestly don't know how to define it, so I'm never sure what exactly to look for (massive bass?)

For the sake of making a recommendation, albeit from a noob, I remember listening to an album by 2562 last year and liking it a lot, but I seem to have lost it in my HD crash. I don't remember what it was called.

I am fairly new to this genre, but thoroughly enjoy what I have heard so far... mostly youtube stuff unfortunately. Not a whole lot of dubstep happening in Copenhagen...

Great to see some fans of dubstep here, in this sea of audiophile music lovers.

For ones who like their dubstep to be a bit over the top, I definitely recommend 16bit's Tokyo Set Menu Mix or this Ale Fillman vs. Aporia MIX

Dj Youngsta-Dubstep Allstars Vol. 4 THIS IS AN EXCELLENT STARTER FOR NEWBIES AND A GREAT PROGRESSIVE SET OVERALL ("Blue Notez" has to be the most wicked track out now)

My dubstep tastes have been moving more towards the really slow, techy material, albeit with Reggae/DanceHall influences (hence my love for Benga).

Very exciting to watch this genre grow on a daily basis...

The Bug - London Zoo - not dubstep per se, (hell, I don't know what really is), a-lot dancehall, dub..etc but part of the zeitgeist and friggin' dope. I'm completely, in love with that album right now.
