Okay so I am looking for some decent headphones $100-$150 range. 50/50 Music & Gaming. I found some new DT990 Pro's (250-OHM) and A700X headphones these are the two I see the most value in for that price range. I want a decent sound stage, but with good hearable bass which made me go with these two. Can anyone with experience tell me which is better, or If you know another pair I can hop on quick let me know. I am buying today or tomorrow. Thanks guys!

By the way if there are some headphones that I will be very satisfied with in the lower $100 range don't hesitate, as I am not a super audiophile I have been using a G930 headset for 2 years lol. So the lower end would be nice I just posted the higher end as an example of what I have been looking at.

They will be powered by my Yamaha HTR-6130 (1/4 for music) or my Xonar DX soundcard (Gaming). Atleast that's how I see I should use it.

Edit: I looked at these Audio-Technica ATH-M50S would those be a decent choice. I like them for the price ^_^ $50 less then the others

Hopefully you are running analog audio cables from the Xonar DX to the analog input on the Yamaha HTR-6130, for headphones you only really need to run from the DX's Front Speaker/Headphone jack to the "Front" audio analog input (right/left).
Buy the DT990 Pro 260-ohm and plug it into the Yamaha.

  I have both A700X and DT990 32 ohm , The DT990 kills A700X easily.

M50 has more bass than A700X, but A700X has a way better soundstage...Overall i would pick A700X for competitive gaming and M50 for music.

I am 50/50 when it comes to gaming and music lol. I guess I really need to pick up the DT 990 Pro, I just don't want to dish out $150 when im not a super headphone audiophile lol. So for 50/50 would you choose the A700X or M50?

Back to you I do run analog, but I have the receiver hooked up to, F L/R Infinity Floor Standing Speakers (Vintage),  R L/R Polk T15's, Center BIC Venturi DV62CLR-S, Sub - Polk Audio PSW Series PSW505 12.

I just need some decent cans. That I can run while I need it quiet around the house.

Sennheiser HD 558 vs the A700X

I basically narrowed it down to those two. They are both $125. Which? I know I threw in the HD 558 that was only after reading many reviews. Also remember this came down to price.

UPDATE: So my girlfriend is going to pick one of these three tonight and not tell me.

Sennheiser HD 558 , Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro ,  Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO

I'm letting her pick because she is paying for them now.

We went with the DT990 Pro's they will be in wednesday of next week. So the setup I need to run is PC>Xonar DX (Analog)>Yamaha HTR-6130>Headphone Out>DT990 Pro (250 OHM) correct?
