Hello guys,

I'm quite a newbie about all the soundcards specs amps etc.

I'm planning to buy the DT990 Pro 250 Ohm and actually I got trouble to finding the appropriate soundcard for it.
I want to use it for music and gaming purpose. And of course i want to use the most of his potential.

my budget is quite low, very low. First i wanted to start buying the Asus Xonar DGX but after few researches the DT990 can't use all his power on it.

So I forced myself and I think I'm going to buy this sound card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional Series
But again after few researches, I heard I need an Amp or something like that to use the 250 Ohm.

Could you, specialist in this stuff, help me out finding the appropriate Amp for this Soundcard and Headphones to use the 250 Ohm on a good price ( low if possible :s) please ?
Or if its become more expensive to buy the X-Fi Titanium + amp than an appropriate soundcard which can handle the 250Ohm and soundquality, then it has my attention.

Thanks to Everyone replying here, and sorry If my english is bad but I hope you understood.

Asus Xonar DX or D1 or Sound Blaster Titanium (non-HD) sound card, used $50-$60
PAV2V (Pocket Amplifier 2 version 2), $60 (eBay)
Around $120 total.

Did you have a total budget for headphones and soundcard/amp?

One option is to get the Asus Xonar DG (PCI) sound card, $27.99
and spend the rest of your budget on headphones with a lower impedance then the DT990 Pro 250-Ohm headphones, as the DG is ok for headphones up to 150-Ohms.
Have you checked out the Audio Technica ATH-AD900X open headphones, $200, only 40-Ohms.
