I am determined to get myself a good audiophile cans. I found the following and what to know what is the bang for the buck. I will be listening to primarily classical (orchestral and chamber) 80% of the time. Then Jazz and Acoustic Folk.

My source is iPod Classic with lossless files and mpg 320 bit rate. I have a FiiO E6 and PA2V2 for amps and a L9 (LOD). WIth that, here's what I found today:

Beyerdynamic DT990 (32ohm) $219 (B&H Photo)
AKG K271 MK II $229 (Headroom) B-stock
ATH AD900 $185 (Headroom) B-stock
Shure SRH940 $230 (EBay)
Sennheiser HD598 $223 (EBay)

I have two budget closed cans now. I have more soundstage along with clarity and detail. So I don't care if they are open or closed. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
