Hi,
I'm really curious to hear the new DT880. Of course, here in darkest Swansea there is nowhere to go to audition such a beast.

I do own the 2005 DT770 however, and wonder, since the drivers are related, whether it's possible to use EQ to get a near-enough emulation of the 880 sound.

Perhaps someone who has both could give me some ideas about settings? Incidentally, I mostly listen through Foobar.

I doubt you can fully emulate the DT880s, especially with closed headphones since the acoustics are going to be different from close and open headphones. I'm not sure where to begin on even trying to emulate another kind of headphone, I'll be interested to see how other's respond.
