I put on my headphones today, and was about to zone out to relaxing music, when I hear a bass note hit with a rattle. Argh! I am hoping it's just a hair or something, as I've heard something that small will do it.

How does one go about disassembling the DT880? I have the earcup off, but
don't know where I should go from there. Just need to get the foam off so I can take a look at the driver, didn't just want to rip it out(yet)..

im having a problem like that with my KSC-35s, i posted a thread about 5 minutes ago and no one said anything yet. Its really annoying.

Alright, I got the foam piece off, now it looks like there's a foam piece directly over the driver. Any way to take that off and still be able to reattach it?

The white fibered paper like surface? Don't take that off, I believe that's part of the driver, since it's domed. May be just a dust cover too, not worth risking unless you realize the consequences

Hey, use the search. There was some thread about changing the cable of the DT880's with a lot of pictures, showing the disasembly. It was very elaborate.
