I have a trip coming up soon, and I'm not sure if I want to take my old JVC noise canceling headphones, or my new Beyerdynamic DT770s. The noise canceling does help with the droning engine sounds. Has anyone used the DT770s on flights? If so, does it block out the engine noise decently?

I've used it on a flight or two; it does indeed block out the higher notes of the engine noise, although the lower rumblings still get through. I ended up returning to my dependable ety's for flights.

Thanks. I'll probably bring these and the JVCs (one for me, one for my wife) and we'll see how it goes!
