Ok I just got pair of brand new dt770s 80Ohm. Now here is the funny thing. On the right ear it reads 80Ohm, on the left ear it reads 250Ohm.

Is this normal?

Someone else here had DT770s with the same thing. I told him/her to amp the 250 Ohm side and leave the other alone

. Anyway, I guess someone at the Beyer factory hit the Jagermeister a little too strongly the night before these were made

I think you got this guy's headphones. He would like them back immediately.

It must be. I can't say for sure, but if you were listening to them, whichever ear has the higher impedance should have a lot lower of a volume.

You mean it's just labeled wrong?

Much easier for me to believe they used the wrong label than the wrong driver.

Know anybody with an ohm meter? tip is left, ring is right, sleeve is ground.

Set it to the 1kohm range (or therabouts) and touch one probe to the sleeve (the biggest portion of the connector) and the other to either of the other two - like i said, tip is left, ring is right.
