Hello ben4345, I have the DT770 (2005ED) which I have used for a few years and enjoyed, I really cannot speak for the 32 Ohm version. The 2005 ED had good noise cancellation and sound but just decided to try something different.
I also have a pair of these cans, and I really like them for gaming. I play a lot of Call of Duty and because of the fairly wide sound stage and bass presence, they work very well, as far as hearing sounds you couldn't otherwise. They do get a little bright with gunfire, but in my experience that is normal for most quality headphones.
