so what do you say?
mainly i prefer the DT440 sound, but tried them both only once, from a big amp.
used for rock and metal.

im concerned that the DT440 will not sound at all without amp..

i have had both. the 440 is open, the m50 closed. i think the m50 sounds much warmer and more balanced
