I just picked up a used pair of Beyer DT231's (should have them next week) because I have been wanting to try the Beyer sound and this was a way to do it with minimal investment. My question is this, how do the 231's sound compared to the rest of the Beyer lineup? Do they have a similar sound signature to any of the other cans? Also, what is the difference between the standard, Pro and Galactic versions?

Thanks

C'mon, I know at least a few people have heard the DT231's. Doesn't anyone have any insight. I know we have a whole thread full of Beyer lover's right now, how about it?

Imo dt231 sound warm and fuller in mids, more like dt250 rather than dt531. I only tried them briefly on store, and liked them a lot. With my very limited beyer experience, I'd say dt231 (and 250) doesn't sound like 531, 770pro250 or other beyers that were usually discussed here (880, 931 etc).
