I can comfortably run both the headphones and only want them for casual listening and gaming.

Please take the price difference into consideration.

Looking for build quality, comfort, sound quality of course (I plan to EQ), and value.

Thanks guys.

I'm casting a vote for the 990's which I know, but have no experience with the Sennheisers. Basing this on value and the fact that the detail & soundstage you'll experience will be great for gaming. EQ can help neutralise the Beyers peaks but without knowing what music you'll be enjoying I can't offer any guidance there.

Thanks, tried both and did end up going with the 990s, like you said the detail is really good and they're far more "fun" to listen to than the 560s.

HD560S is a pretty bad one. I had it and regretted.

If the DT990s ever break or you lose them, replace them with the Soundmagic HP200 headphones.
As I do prefer my HP200 over my DT990.

Interesting, how do they compare? They are quite a bit more expensive than the 990s here in the UK (£170 compared to £108) but I'll certainly keep them in mind!
The HP200 is like the DT990, but with some DT880 thrown in.

Or just go straight for the DT880. Best value in Head-Fi (IMHO).

I find my DT880s a little more brighter sounding then I prefer, but yes they do sound good.
