DT-880 cable coiled ot straight?
On the headroom site the blurb says straight but the picture is coiled???

People seem to prefer the straight cable, I guess for home use that would be more convienient? I will be using them out of a modded iPod, maybe the coiled would be better for me?

if you REALLY want to get technical I guess that a coiled cable wouldslightly impede on the current supplied to the headphones due to a reverse current being generated, but I really doubt that this would give any hearable difference (knowning this forum however someone's going to say that there is an audible difference).

My advice is that if the coiled cable is more practical for you, go for it

If you're going to use it straight from an iPod (however modded) i think you can stop worrying about SQ issues because of the cable being straight or coiled

. Or if you're worries overwhelm you, you could contact headphile for a recable.

I personally wasn't too fond of the coiled cable.

It has it's advantages, like not tangling up, when you are close to your equipment, but it's horrible when you move away!!
