I recently received a pair of Dt-770 80ohm from ebay (paid 130$ - soon, I'll probably be looking for an amp upgrade from my original Airhead).

I thought this listing was funny:

BEYERDYNAMIC DT-770 DT 770 HEADPHONES-USED-NO RESERVE! - eBay (item 190225142084 end time May-31-08 09:24:38 PDT)

Quote:

Headphones are 100% functional with no issues. Some slight signs of use but all in all in great condition. Clean and no foul smells from pets or smoke. Note the left side the raised "beyerdynamic dt 770" white marking looks to have been slightly scuffed. I would grade these a 9 out of 10 simply because they have been handled and used. I have owned Sennheiser HD555 and I currently am using Bose Triport phones and these are far superior especially in the bass end. I aquired these used and have been enjoying them for about 2 weeks but due to their size the Bose headphones work better for me. I give them higher marks for comfort than the Senns and they produce no fatigue for long listening sessions. Note in pic #6 the top has a small indention where the snap is. I do not think this is from usage and this was the way they were when new but you be the judge. No box or paperwork included - 1/8 to 1/4 phono plug is attached. If you have any questions just ask!

Also notice how he's bending them in the photos.

I'm with Duggeh on this one, those beyers just don't o it for me. The pads are comfy, though.

They actually are the 80 ohm pro version - you can read the text off the phones in the photos.

My only real listening experience with Bose is the laughably overpriced Wave Radio, and my cousin's Triports.

I, for one, love the DT-770, and no small part of it is the comfort.

He was referring to the DT-770 as having superior bass, not the Bose.
