Hi.

I just sold my DT 770. I found them to be ok but the bass was so thin. I mean it was really almost non present. I am not a basshead, but even though others told me it should be there on the DT 770, it was not. I had them amplified from my Apollo Twin. Not the most powerful amp I know, but these went plenty loud. 1/2 volume was very loud.

Anyways, I am looking into purchasing HiFiman Sundara. Can anyone who has heard them both tell me if I should be steering clear of the Sundara and why? What can I expect in comparison to the DT 770?

Thanks.

I find a lot of headphone that I like more, then my DT770.
I bought a (on eBay) $100 tube headphone amplifier (from no name, somewhere in China).
Mated it to my DT770, Which at the time I liked
But I'm finding Planar to my current liking.
So the Sundara is something that would temp me.

I can get a pair of like new HE4XX for $100 new. I am gonna try that before I get the Sundara. Hard to pass up that deal.
