I got my pair of fresh 1990s out of the box and to my surprise cables are a bit diffrent.

Coiled one has 3 pin mini xlr and straight one has 4 pins.

Is that the case with every pair?

I tried connecting the straight one but it doesnt seems to fit all the way in. Gets stuck about 90% of the way now i tried applying force but it just wont budge.
Right now im not comfortable trying to jam it in at all cost cause i dont want to risk damaging pins.

Anyhow sound is messed up with the straight cable and uneven between both cups.

Im a bit confused are those cable supposed to be diffrent? Or could this be some sort of manufacturing defect?

Sounds like you received the wrong straight cable. Most likely a packaging problem, not manufacturing. It should have three sockets for three pins.
Do NOT try to force it on or use the headphones with that cable; you're likely to damage something.

You should contact the retailer/Beyerdynamic about a replacement. Use the coiled cable in the meantime.
