DSD recordings

… but you aren't going to find a pure DSD Pink Floyd album.
You might, because the term “pure DSD” isn’t precisely defined, it’s just a marketing term. Some take it to mean any recording which has not been converted to PCM. So a DSD recording recorded from say an analogue tape master (as it could be in the case of a Floyd album), which hasn’t been converted PCM for additional mixing or mastering, could qualify as “pure DSD”. That wouldn’t be “pure” in my book, but in my book a “pure DSD” recording would sound pretty ropey in virtually every case.

I’ve only seen pure DSD used for direct to DSD, that’s how Pentatone uses it at least, but I haven’t looked around that much to see what the label says. I’m more interested if an SACD is multichannel or not. That’s the only advantage to the medium I can think of.
