DSD or regular SACD or DVD-A or multiformat?

How can DVDA be infinitely linear, look at these two linear plots

The Levinson with 24 bit data

now the Elgar with SACD

Pray tell, which system is more linear, the ringing on the 24 bit plot is consistent with the findings of DCS whilst investigating 192/24 and 96/24. see fig 4.

You can't see that the linearity error is measured not by the shape of the graph, but by the vertical axis. The dCS paper doesn't even have a single occurance of 'linearity' or even 'line' in it.

Joe,

I will appreciate if you mind your language, this is a technical discussion, if you cannot remain polite, please let me know.

On this board in another thread, I have said that 'DSD is not a single bit format' so that is not new, it is rather you that has been wholly ignorant of the advancement of technology and have argueing blindly, it is rather obvious that you have not followed any careful study on the subject at hand before you proceeded dispute the facts at hand.

It is you who is assuming that I don't know about 8-bit DSD.

If you are convinced from personal experience that SACD sounds superior, spit it out, otherwise stop pretending that you have technical justification for your position.

To all head-fiers:

By this point I think it is clear to everyone that 2 out of 3 points theaudiohobby uses to justify SACD 'superiority' is just plain *wrong* and the rest are mostly parroting propaganda or completely irrelevant. If I can be assured that people here as a whole will not be taken in anymore by theaudiohobby's con-man tactics, I can just leave this thread and leave him rambling on by himself.

Can I get a vote of confidence here?
