DS Lite, worth it??

After a week and a half of consideration, I broke down and ordered a DS Lite. Now I need to talk my coworkers into buying DS's of their own so we can be paid to have Mario Kart and Tetris tournaments.

Anyone know when best buy, circuit city, and other retailers are going to stock nintendo DS lites again? They've been out of stock everywhere (retail and online) since christmas... Will they be available by the end of February?

I've been wanting one since the year started, but found out from a few EB/GameStop stores that they sold out from Xmas and wouldn't restock until end of January. End of January...still no stock =/. I check the Best Buy website every few days as well, since they provide stock status by store.

I saw couple of them on target, IMHO you'll have better luck checking target, kmart & walmart since people generally won't buy games there. I've got no luck looking for wii yet though

If any of you folks are interested, I've got one and a bunch of games I plan to sell.

Feel free to PM.

DS Lites are starting to find their way back into stores now. I waltzed into a best buy in atlanta two weeks ago on a Wed. night and they had piles of pink and black ones. Only 1 white one, though. Bought a black one.

If that game doesn't win game of the year for DS in Nintendo Power... Shame on the DS owners.

Why don't you get a flash cart?
I ordered a DS R4 card myself.

I own both, a DS and a PSP. It's always been an on and off relationship with both of them. My wife acually bought the PSP for me and I bought a few games which weren't very interesting after a while. Then I bought a DS which has some amazing games for it. Especially Metroid and golfing games play really well on the DS. I've got a Supercard now so I can play whatever I want, whenever I want

. The PSP came back into my life when firmware 3.02 came out. I have a modified version which allows me to play my ripped PS1 games on it. Very cool, I can play the best games I used to play years ago all over again. The original PSP games are picking up too, I'm now playing Dungeon Siege, Throne of Agony which is amazing! I miss the promised multiplayer over the internet though. I would love to see something like World of Warcraft on the PSP (or DS) so I can play it anywhere I like. Wifi is free everywhere in Singapore so it's very easy to hook up.

I definitely don't see why they wouldn't. They sold a ton of Wiis at launch, so I'd assume they'd get frequent stock of DS Lites. I have only been there once, and I think they have just about everything Nintendo.

Any opinion on white vs black? I think the black looks slightly better, but is the plastic as bad as the ipod's?

I have a white DSlite (w/ SuperCard DS One) and it does not scratch like an Ipod, in fact it seems to be scratch resistant!
Currently obsessed with Ace Attorney Phoenix Wright!
