I would like to know if driver size of a dynamic IEM really matters, especially when we talk about sub bass response ?

Does bigger driver means better sub bass response ? Or, will it response better with EQ regarding to sub bass ?

I feel like it's a yea and a no. If everything is perfectly flat in the frequency response, probably yes. However, every driver is tuned different so it does not necessarily mean that. I've read that the ES5 has more bass than other customs even though it only has 1 driver for the lows due to it's large driver. For example, the es5 has more bass than UM miracles even though the Miracles has 2 BA drivers for lows but those 2 drivers are smaller. Obviously, tuning affects it also.

Anyways, this is just my opinion and I could be wrong. I have no scientific facts to support what I stated.
