Got a Symphony last year and have a very happy moment on this all in one DAC/Amp. However human heart is always tempted, so do I.
First my current setting:
iMac -> Apogee Duet or M2tech HiFace -> Symphony. If want to use tube Amp then -> WA2
Headphones: Mpro, K702, ED8, DT880 pro.
I think I will keep using M2tech Hiface for Coaxial output. Right now I am thinking about upgrade a DAC. I got some ideas of my next DAC:
1) Have XLR output (best will be true balanced) (want to pair this DAC to Stax system and SPL Phonitor)
2) More then one Coaxial input will be good (for CAS as well as future CD player)
3) USB or 1394 is not a must but it will be great if available
4) Upsampling available will be good
I got some suggestion about the DAC1 and DA11, I am not sure if that is a good choice from Symphony. Will I be able to feel a solid improvement?
