Hi everyone!
I'm new in this forum and this is my first thread.
I'm looking for advice.
Currently my set-up consist in a Sennheiser HD599 paired with a Creative Sound Blaster G6, playing Hi-Res audio through Audirvana+ via DirectMode, and I found this combination great.
I'm thinking to upgrade in the next months my G6 with a Dragonfly Red; Cobalt or Apogee Groove.
I'm searching information to evaluate the upgrade from one of those DACs.
I know that the Creative G6 is more an all-rounder solution: DAC, Amp, DSP and Dolby Digital Decoder (great for movies too).
My main use is both film and music.
Wanting to replace it with one of the listed dacs, how much would I gain in terms of detail and soundstage? Is it worth replacing my G6? In any case, I could not exceed 200-250 as a price range, so I was seeing precisely these that I have listed.
Thanks for any advice!

I really doubt it's worth replacing the Creative Lab's G6, at least not for a $250 budget (IMHO).
Might be better to save up ($400?) for replacing the HD599 (nothing against the HD599).
