I just picked up a copy of Descent from Goodwill. I really liked the game back when it was new, and I'd like to be able to play it again. I haven't tried to install it... would I be asking for trouble to try to install an old DOS game on a Windows 2k machine?

Thanks for the resource! After reading around the forums there, I went ahead and just installed it, no problem. It's cool to see it still has a following, I sure haven't seen any other games like it since then, but then I don't really follow gaming. Are there any other (more modern) games like it?

Great tip, null! Have to try that this weekend with some of my old DOS games...

...or you can be a "freak" like me and build a dedicated old gaming machine!

But DOSBox works okay. Provided that your game and hardware is compatible. My usual computer is not.
