Hey all, I'm an amateur at this stuff, but I'm looking for a good set of headphones to wear while studying publicly. I like to rock out, but the people around me tend to get mad if they can hear the music coming from my headphones, so I'm in the market for something with good sound quality that doesn't leak music out. I'd like something affordable, too. Recommendations?

You should be more specific about what "affordable" meens to you

I use IEM (some lecture http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f103/f...phones-310723/ ) No leakage, confortable when you're use to it (and some are more confortable than others, the most ones seems to be the UM1 and UM2, you may find loads of info about them here).

The alternative is a closed headphone circumaural or supra-aural, like PX200 (i got the "street version, the PMX200).

Thanks for the advice man. I'll have to check with my wife what "affordable" means.

X2 with Nicholas that IEMs are the best option for public use - they will not leak any noise to disturb others - I use mine in the library without any complaints
