Just visited Jaben and got intoxicated again... this time got a rather irresistible simple "fun" amp which just matches my creative Muvo Vidz & Mylarone X3i for size and sound so well...(and I heard many ipod owners are snapping these amps too from some link I read.)

As I got no time for pics taking... below is a link to some nice pics of the Dog Bones (Travagan's color) and it's thoughtful accessories...

It's tiny, only 6 by 3 cm at the longest and widest "Bone shape" ends.

It matches my Muvo Vidz for size and sounds good with my mylarone X3i. So that's my usual on the go rig now. Must try look for a better compact IC to go with it... too bad I do not quite like how the cardas mini sounded.

It is for use with MP3 players with headphone out. The amp will auto on when headphone is plugged in. Volume is controlled through the player directly... so I am hoping it will just extend the battery life a little since I am playing it at the player's lower volumes. :P

So far so fun... will report back with further findings.

Found it's website to share:

I'd spring for a Black Cat's Bone in honor of my SO's kitty Midnight.

Like Jgonino mentioned, the usb is only for charging purpose and not a DAC.

It is meant to be used as a convenient amplification through headphone out with ipod or mp3 players and as such I felt should not be compared to usual amps like Go Vibe Petite.

Well, it works for me with my simple on the go rig which is great, but I will urge any interested to try it with your own rig to make your own decision as YMMV.

Having read skylab's reviews on the Travagan's "Red" and "Green" amps, I am looking forward to trying Travagan's "White" which is a headphone amp and DAC, as well as the "Red" headphone amp with the 2 inch speakers. Hopefully Jaben will be bringing them into my local community as well.

Now that the availability of amps, cans, gadgets and fun toys are aplenty, the challenge is on building up and maintaining the funds to acquire the ones we each fancy. so it's back to working like a Dog.

Nice pics David.

Thanks for the fine product. I am thoroughly enjoying my "xiao Bai" (little white) with my mp3 player. Was hoping for more compact interconnects with right angled plugs one (eg. like the cardas mini)... as that will complete a nice compact rig.

The rolled pouch of leather and cloth is very nice with the useful bands, ICs and short usb cable and the unique cardboard carton case makes it a real neat package. I might just get some more bones for my nephews and nieces for their birthdays maybe.

I'm glad Jaben carries Travagan's products and I'm looking forward to hearing more.

Haha, thought your avatar should show a cute dog pic instead of cat right? Or maybe some cat collection next?

Cheers.

Just what my dog was looking for! He's is already drooling (see my avatar).

In what flavour do they come?

Do you think it pairs well with his ATH-A700?

Are there any english website with info on the DAC/Amp that you know of? I've looked around but can't find anything.
