When playing songs in iTunes on my desktop, I suddenly found that using any computer controls caused a "stutter" in the music. The notes just kept on playing as long as I was using the cursor or other controls.

I figured this for a software problem, and started experimenting with the audio settings on my laptop.

I finally traced it to iTunes.

I had left one of my favorite songs on "repeat," and when I turned repeat back off, the stuttering ended. Why this problem didn't develop right away, I have no idea. But at least the cure is simple enough.

I pass this on for anyone else whose computer may develop a "stuttering" music problem.
