I'm a big gamer and while I like good sound, I'm not an audiophile. I know that puts me in the minority here, but none the less, I'm hoping you guys can help me. During your extensive research, has anyone stumbled across something that has these features?

Must haves:

- Circumaural: I wear glasses so supraaural cans push my ears into my glasses which can get slightly uncomfortable after long periods of time
- Attached boom mic: A no brainer for me because I use ventrilo extensively with friends for chat. I've tried a separate clip on mic and table mic and they just aren't the same as a boom mic for quality.
- Closed: To maximize immersion in the game and exlude the aforementioned loudness in my room.
- In-line volume control: While I could live without one, I've grown so accustomed to having the in-line volume control that I can hardly imagine living without it now.

I'm obviously looking for something with decent sound, but it doesn't have to be amazing. I currently use Sennheiser pc160s so I'm not used to HD595s or something similar. Thus, the sound quality doesn't have to blow me away, but I also want something that's capable.

I was looking greedily at the BeyerDynamic DT234 Pro, but then I realized that it was supraaural despite the appearances in the pictures. Does what I want actually exist or am I stuck with what I've got until I get frustrated enough to try and mod something?

You might have an issue with the inline volume control, but you can buy those seperately if need be. Both the DT770 and HD280 have models with attached microphones. They meet all the rest of your requirements.

. But ive read some places that the Steelsound 5H V2 is a good headset that meets all your requirement. Plus since your not an audiophile it wont be a big deal, cause that headset isnt exactly audiophile quality but its a good gamer headset (durable as well). Also check out the Icemat Siberia.

From what I know ( and I know

) the best gaming headsets are Steelsound are Razer. I liked the Razor one best. I used it for quite a long time and combined with the soundcard it will give you an advantage over other players like no other headset. So much in fact that the use of it is forbidden in some or the larger tournaments. Here is the link:

(I do not work for Razer if that is what you are thinking right now
