Hi just wondering, does my soundcard matter, if I use the coaxial/spdif out on my PC ??

Or in other words would I gain anything by getting a better soundcard ??

Yes, of course. Otherwise there would be no such thing as dedicated computer sound cards.

But a big part of a soundcard is DAC and amp, and both those thing are made by an external device..
So converting from digital to digital is there stilll something to gain ??

With a good dedicated soundcard, you get native ASIO support and lower noise and probably lower jitter too. This is by my experience, comparing onboard vs. soundcard (Analog Device AD1988B vs. Prodigy HD2)
