I've to buy a mp3 player for my wife and I was thinking about the nano because of the genius app that generate playlists for you..
I uses a Sansa myself but I don't want to turn playlist into a science project for her.

So, the bottom line is, does the iPod drives the RE0 well? If not, do you know any player that also auto generate a playlist?

I should be getting my RE0's in the mail today. I'll toss them on my 4G Nano and let you know as soon as i get a couple minutes.

from what I have heard, the RE0 does just fine on most DAP's, including all iPods.

Don't have an ipod with my right now but the RE-0 sound pretty good on my Iphone 2G and Sansa Clip+ . So it should run fine on an ipod as well. Ofcourse to get the best out of the RE-0 you will need an amp . It scales better with a better amp.
