I have all my music playlists set up on Plexamp. I bought a Fiio K5 pro to use as a desktop DAC/amp for my laptop and have it connected via usb. But when I play a 24/96 file on Plexamp, the DAC doesn’t detect the hi-res stream and thinks that it’s 16/44. Playing hi-res files on foobar doesn’t have this problem.
is anyone able to get plexamp to output hi-res music to an external dac? If not, are there other software clients that do and can read from my Plex server? I’d prefer to stick with Plex since I spent a lot of time organizing my music library and playlists in Plex.
