I have the koss portapros and think they are great but I was wondering if koss made any good full sized headpone models?

Well, Tom, that's a very tough call. Koss's full sized headphones generally leave a LOT to be desired - i.e. you can buy other brands' headphones with much better sound quality than the full-sized Kosses at every price point. In other words, for the price that you're paying for those headphones, the full-sized Kosses range from mediocre to dismal in performance.

The Koss A-250 is Koss's top of the line dynamic headphone, and it sounds pretty nice. However it costs $150 retail, and usually around $80 online. At $150 you can definitely find headphones that sound better than it (although you may still prefer the Koss's sound, who knows), while at $80 there are some Grados and Senns to consider instead.

Yes, but they have a very high rate of failure...which is why they're never recommended, even though you can sometimes find them on sale between $350-500 used.

I am the proud owner of the Senn HD 580s, but I had good experiences with Koss in the past. Look at this quote from Goodcans.com:

"Comparing to a bit more affordable Senn I would say the overall sound of the Koss A-250 compares favorably to the $250 Senn HD590s, and beats the pants off of the Senn HD570s or HD575s!"

I've heard the Koss A130 and thought it sounded much better than comparably priced Senns, i.e. the anemic 570 for instance. The A250 for its higher price sounded a blt less impressive, but was not terrible. And the R200 is a fun gimmicky headphone with its "surround sound" control, though it doesn't sound very good in an objective sense. I would say try the A130 if you absolutely must have a Koss full sized phone. But why must you???

I own the Koss R/100 purchased a few years back and can attest to the fact that construction and durability is not a great strength with full size koss headphones. Sound quality is about average compared with most consumer level headphones at this price range but you can do much better these days for the same price. Non-existent low-bass and weak mid-bass coupled with a veiled and distant midrange. I remember a review that touted the Koss A-250(~$100USD) but I purchased the Senn HD570 instead(big mistake unless classical / complex symphonies are your thing - even then the AKG501 is probably better).

I really liked these. I loved the retro design, and they had a nice smooth sound. Not really all that detailed, but a seemingly coherent sound that I liked for various styles of music. They isolated really good, and had a lifetime warranty.

As far as I could tell the Pro DJ100/DJ200/TBSE1s are full-sized portable headphones. They seem decent enough, I guess, especially if you can grab one for $60 or less.
